Hi Tony,
The spelling for the farmlands changed over the years and between different scribes. Balnasklow and Ballasloe were, I think, the same place, as were Ballajora and Ballajory (hence the confusion with a totally different place: Ballagory).
If you look at place names on 'A Manx Notebook' it gives some explanations. See:
