Many thanks for your welcome and comprehensive email. I am still waiting for the second cert (Thomas/Jane) and it seems odd that only one has arrived when they were both ordered at the same time.

The Thomas/Jane cert will not move us forward a great deal at this stage, but should at least reveal the names of Jane's parents and serve to tidy up another few loose ends.

I am, for the moment, unsure what to do next regarding the LDS films. I have searched the phone book for local details of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but the only Newcastle upon Tyne number appears to be a church building only, rather than any sort of information centre. I would appreciate your advice once again.
