Many thanks for checking your Ballajora Corkill records. I had put the "William Corkill's wife", B'jorey buried Jan 15 1821 somewhere further down on this thread, thinking she could have been Elinor Corkill als Christian, but I didn't notice Corkill, Wm B'Jorrey 72 yrs 8 October 1836. Unfortunately no will that I can see.

There were other Wm Corkill burials in Maughold between the year of their last child's birth (of Wm & Elinor Christian) and the 1841 census:
Wm CORKILL 53 B'Sloe May 7 1833
Wm CORKILL 63 Senr (Bey Gare) May 20 1836. [Is this Boayl ny gaaue?].
Wm CORKILL 69 Ramsey Apr 9 1837
Also: Elinor CORKILL (Boy Gare) Oct 23 1830, which is interesting. Could be Elinor Christian.
But again, no wills that I can see.
