The marriage of Anthony and Ann Knowles interests me greatly, as does all the other information.
I found details of the Wellington pit disaster about a year ago and wondered if Anthony was a relative, coming from Whitehaven. It is now certain that he was.
The pit disaster story is particularly sad as he had five children, all of school age or less. It seems that he died about April but his body was not recovered until October.
