I've had a bit of a time trying to read the names of the witnesses due to the poor quality of the certificate. I considered sending to ask for a better one but I've no doubt it would just be exactly the same.
I'm sure that the forenames are William and Elizabeth but the surnames are not at all clear. Possibly William Moore or Mere or even Mein but may be none of these. The female is definitely Elizabeth but the surname is anyone's guess. It could begin with 'D' or 'C' or 'Q' or 'O'.
It could be Divine or Dixon or Oliver or even Quinn. Luckily it is not the most important aspect of the search.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has not proved very easy to talk to. Not today, anyway. I eventually found a phone number for Newcastle but it seems they are closed on a Wednesday. I tried an Ashington number but, no answer. Same for Sunderland. Most likely they are all closed on Wednesdays. I'll try again tomorrow.
