Many thanks for your replies and for getting me back on track. I worked in a school for 25 years and so should have known that everything goes a bit haywire when the kids are off for the six week summer holiday.
My 'Plan B' is now to wait until next week and start again. At least I'll be in a better mood by then!!!
I think Sunderland will be the best bet, so I'll try them first. I'm sure it will all work out in the end.
