Hi
Thanks for your message.

My direct Joughin ancestry ends with Mary-Ann Joughin, who was christened at St German on 1-11-1835, and was the daughter of John Joughin, master mariner of Peel and Catherine Clucas, who were married at German on 20-05-1826. Mary Ann married Henry William Corrin.

Her siblings included sisters Jane Agnes, (m William Kewley) Christian Esther (m George Maley) and Catherine (m Robert Henry Jackson, 2 children both died young)

There was ONE brother to carry on the Joughin name. He was John Joughin MHK, born 1831, fishing net manufacturer, MHK etc, who married Emily Jane Fenton, and had several issue inc Katherine Jane (c1859) Emily Eleanor, (c1861) John Joseph (c1863) Annie (1863) Eleanor Felton (1867) and Henry Fenton (1869), and the Manx novelist, W J Clucas Joughin who died in Canada.

If your ancestors inc John Joseph or Henry Fenton Joughin then there is a link. I think that Clucas Joughin’s sons moved off the Island, as one was certainly in Canada.

I am a little confused about Fredk Brew's parents and DOB as there seem to be several differing versions. Are you able to clarify that for me ? ANy advice would be welcome.
