Frances, you certainly know your stuff!! Thank you. I am very interested in family history and certainly like to 'place' my ancestors but there is not always a lot of time to read up on all avenues. Reading one article gives one tunnel vision but it was nice to read about my gg.grandfather. How times change. Old Paddy was my gg.grandfather so we are not going back a long way in an historical sense and yet, as far as I am aware, there is no longer Catholicism in the family.
