Just to tidy up loose ends ---- I found Robert Edward Cain in 1881.

Then I looked for Anna Scaddan's sister, Maria Ellis Scaddan, and found her in 1881 in Rainhill, Lancashire, with another sister, Isabella Love age 40, brother in law Thomas H Love age 40, master upholsterer from Dublin, and several children. Maria and Isabella were both born in St Mary's, Scilly Isles.

Thomas H Love and Isabella Scaddan married in Braddan 15th Aug 1865, and in 1871 they were in Toxteth Park, Liverpool. Isabella's birthplace given as St Mary's, Scilly Isles, so presumably that's where Anna was born, too.
