JC Number 10 is a building I detest. I shudder
every time I walk past which is unfortunately often. The
original house was identical to its neighbour no. 8 . A line
of very smart town houses was built for the gentry &
professional folk of Douglas. Although they were built onto the street they had large & secluded gardens & their main
rooms face onto Douglas Bay. I appreciated the view spending hours in no. 8---Cain the Dentists {father &son}
having very needy teeth. No 10 was pulled down&rebuilt in similar style but monstrous scale for offices!!!!!!!
