the 1st image is of a register using an adapted English register and thus is probably the 'original' - maybe the diocese standardised on a Manx printed register (ie the one with the border) and some entries from old register were copied across - I know in a couple of parishes older records were copied into a new register but not as late as 1874 (eg Kk Michael had two regs - a tattered but just about readable old reg and a early 19th C copy (with many errors) which then formed the new register)
