My Arbory born paternal grandfather was baptised/christened at St Mary's Castletown on 12th June 1870.
Sometime after his death in 1951 I obtained a facsimile which showed the patterned border you posted.
After windows98 took over I started computorising accumulated genealogy and added certain certificates.
By April 1999 this entry was available from the manx general registry as a copy on forms with a plain edge.
Now on websites we have much rewritten/transcribed/copied material and as I remarked on this board some time ago "The imuseum is incomplete"
