You are a legend, I have located the email that Bruce Gelling sent me 01 June 2003 - confirming they are the South African Branch of our family, which confirms my Auntie Luna Gelling meeting Robert Gelling on his way back to Ashburton New Zealand from one of his trips back to South Africa.
Doug, Michael and Colin Gelling are issue of John Alexander Gelling one of the family of John Thomas Gelling who was the son of James Gelling and Elizabeth Gelling which is where we tie in. Bruce gained a lot of his information from Uncle hugh Gelling who received a lot of research from Kay Clegg who is better able than I am to explain how she ties into this Gelling South African Branch of the family.

Once again thanks for your help. I am wondering if anyone out there has done more research on Cha(Chas, Charles) Gellin(g) and his wife Elizabeth Quilliam to take us further back and also the Branch of Gelling's there line comes down.
