For what it is worth, there is a tree on ancestry.com indicating that John Gick who md Anna Swan was s/o Henry Gick of Santan parish Isle of Man.
The only Henry I see was b 1852 s/o Henry Gick & Isabella Carran (sp may be off??).
Both Henry and Isabella are memorialized in Santan cemetary--both died in 1874--Henry age 73, Isabella age 66.

In US censuses, Manx were often said to be from Ireland or England. But who knows?
