It seems to me that what sends people on route to spontaneous combustion is the very phrase 'naughty language' so that they tend not to get as far as considering the very good and useful reasons for screening postings. Perhaps merely replacing the word 'naughty' with say, 'invalid' or similar might help keep the temperature down. Maybe there could be a direction to Greg's word list in the automated message too.

Having said that, I'm not so computer-savvy to know if that would be easy to do.
