Just a thought. Did people on the island follow the trend as on the mainland whereby the children were sometimes named for the mother and fathers parents. William and Selenas first child was Selena , second was Mary (same name as Selenas mother). The next were John, Rebecca , George and Catherine. Dont know if im clutching at straws.
