Im struggling to find the parents of the above due to the proliferation of Cains on the I of M. He married a Selena Cartwright in 1848 and i have them in 1851 living in Bywell St, Douglas (folio H>O. 107/2525) he was 24. In 1861 i have them at what looks like Thaws Brow (RG9/4416). In 1881 Selena is a widow (she came from Staffordshire, England).
Can anyone shed any light?
