the 1911 copy is, from my own checking against the original registers in several parishes, excellent (in some cases I suspect the original was more readable as done a century ago) - in my opinion untrained people are liable to make more errors than the 1911 copy - you now have a further transcription error from the handwriting to the index - the extracted records from IGI are generally very good and could readily serve as a base (after all Utah already has the films - what is needed is to remove the patron submitted rubbish)
