It appear that John is identified as being born to Elinor Costean and "Capt : eodem die". Odd entry since if you look on down that same page to the entry made between Dec 10 and Dec 21. There is another entry that seems to reference the same "Capt : eodem Die" only that second entry does not say it is an Illegt child. Is this "Capt : eodemdie" an actual person's name or is this code for "Father unknown"?
