the mortgage refereed to in the 1802 Cas Deed is NSM May 1800 42 - dated 19 Apr 1800;John Looney(Dreemskerry, Maughold) + wife Margt mortgage for 5yrs for £48 7s 4d to Wm Kerruish(Balallin) our estate known as Bwoll truan faie, gareywoar and the south end of the garey beg adj MrChristian(Lewauge on north, Logan's rent on south, Balnesage's rent on west , part qtrland of Dreemskarry rent 4s - Looney to continue occuption paying 12 mnks pence in pound interest; Witt Daniel Joughen, John Carlile?; 22 Dec 1800: Wm Kerruish assigns same to Robt Christian ;

But also see NSM May 1800 38 an assignement from Wm Kerruish to his father in law Wm Kerruish - dated 7 Feb 1800;recites that John Looney(Maughold) + wife Margaret did by deed dating 12 May 1788 did mortgage for £50 to John Kerruish(Bollwilt, Maughold) a parcel of qtrland Dreemskarry and also by deed dated 1 Jun 1791 did obtain an additional mortgage for £26 10s (part acrued interest) from sd John Kerruish - Wm Kerruish heir + exor of sd John Kerruish decd for sum of £76 10s 4d paid by my father-in-law Wm Kerruish(Ballallin) do assign sd mortgages; Witt Wm Sayle, Wm Christian

havn't had chance to chase back these mortgages in hope that Margt's family name might be given but nowehere is any indication that John is son of Margt Kelvy
