noa = fresh,novel,young (= new) noaagh = somewhat new but if as more likely to be read as noal=ick then noal = from the north, from the other side (eg 'noon as noal' = to and fro) which may indicate that from the other side of mountains. (in Manx folklore the North is always where trouble comes from (eg no windows on the north side of a church) and is somewhere distinct from home.
