MIs please KELLY Maughold, Lonan, Ballaugh

Colin, if you are going to visit the IOM you will want to see their land and where they were buried. There may be gravestone transcriptions for them.

Donna, would you please see whether there are MIs for BL's burials:
KELLY, John Robert, 72, Lonan 30 Jun 1912 [with Kelly can never be 100% certain, but this looks as if it could be the right one].

Married to KELLY, Alice Jane 52 Lonan 20 Sep 1905.

Also his father Robert KELLY b.1807 - could he have been KELLY, Robert 91 Lonan 7 Feb 1897? [Or 76 yrs, Dhoon, Maughold buried 29 Apr 1898, which looks too young, but the right place for his Kelly relatives? ]

And his wife Eleanor [KNEALE] bapt.1809. KELLY, Eleanor 83 Lonan 10 Jul 1892?

They were both still alive in 1881 living in Skinscoe, Lonan - farmer of 180 acres employing 2 boys. Robert 74 b.Maughold, and Elenor 70 b.Lonan, with daurs Elenor HUDGEON 36 widow, her son James 11 "shepherd", and Rebecca Kelly 34, + servants.

And to go back a generation to Robert's family Thomas Kelly & Ann Hogg:
Thomas KELLY 77 (Noalick), Dhoin, buried Maughold 7 Oct 1853.
Ann KELLY 84 Dhoin buried Maughold 3 Sep 1858.

Frances noticed that "Noalick" as well - can anyone shed any light on that? Something to do with Ballaugh where he was born?

Then to go back another generation there were Thomas's parents in Ballaugh.
Patrick Kelly & Esther Christian (she was buried 23 Mar 1800 only two years after marrying, so possibly too early for a MI. "Noalick" on will).
Are there any Patrick Kelly MIs in Ballaugh?

Many thanks for your help, Donna. Kelly is even harder than Cain!!

Sue
