Thanks Sue - I'd guessed that the supposed Norris link was the basis of any claim (pity there wasn't a link back to Earl James as not only would james have linked back to English royalty his wife Charlotte was linked to just about every European Royal line back to the Romans!) - however as I tried, possibly too 'tongue in cheek' to point out the Henry Taubman was not son of the Mr Taubman & Mrs Moore who married at Michael (note Mr & Mrs when used in the regs at this period denote some social standing - usually applied to the well oiled running trade merchants) - the Henry was I strongly suspect the son of John + Margt Moore - there is a gap for a child of the right age, one of their children appeared to be baptised Rushen where at that period Taubman's were rare or unknown. It is possible they were fishermen.

Dave the 'King of Man' is I'm afraid a well known person who sold 'titles' - the money supposedly going to charity, though evidence elsewhere reputed this - there was a long discussion (most of it unrepeatable as the language was somewhat heated) on the Manx forums board a year or so ago - it made the local Manx Press where I'm afraid the claims were somewhat questioned - apparently Dave made a habit of such claims re other Royal lines as well and was banned from many forums for making the claims in the manner seen above.
