Dear very distant cousin. Interesting to hear that you are related to english and french royalty as I also am. This may mean that you are norwegian from two directions. The Isle of Man was owned by norway in the 800s and many of the inhabitants are of norwegian descent. The royalty of england have been, for the most part, descendents of Ganger Hrolf Ragnvaldson a norwegian whose father owned the isle of mann in the 800s. Aha! The story grows! Ganger Hrolf conquered Normandy (sort of) and in the year 911 the king of france Charles the Simple ceded Normandy to him. Charles then married off his daughter to ganger hrolf out of which union two daughters were born, thence my connection to french royalty because I am a blood relative of hrolf. He later married another woman or two (being norwegian they do that). Now we get to the BIG part of the story! His great great grandson William the Bastard (Also known as William the Conqueror) in the year 1066 conquered England. Thence my connection to all of the suceeding royalty of England, Scotland, and Ireland. but wait,theres more! This whole line is said by the Orkneying Saga to have come from ancient Finland in about the year 550!
