Hi Sue, Thank you, amongst all the marvellous responses I had not picked up on this but I have done it now.
I wonder why they would have headed north from Lonan? Perhaps to put people off the scent, the son had been seen "selling ballads" in the area of the robbery.
They were arrested in the market at Douglas, which may be close to the Ivy Cottages, certainly on their way home to Malew.
