Liz - you may be correct all I have is a record of the landlord in 1837 - there are bundles of licences in Manx Museum (Castle Rushen papers) - however those I've looked at don't give the location - there might be an advert in the paper - these are indexed so search should be easy though most are included in the paper old inns etc on MNB
