Re: 1833 LOCATIONS
In Response To: Re: 1833 LOCATIONS ()

Hi Liz, I don't think you are thick, my question has raised a lot of helpful answers including from you. I think that Mary has said that the pub on the Laxy side was mentioned as a pointer to the possible location of the farm.
I have found no deaths for an Elizabeth CAIN nor any marriages for an Elizabeth CAIN or an Elizabeth to a CAIN in or around the time of the trial. Perhaps she went to England, America or the colonies.
The only Pub in Frances' list around the time of the trial with a CAIN is the Ivy Cottage. It may well have been rebuilt by now.
Regarding the farm it may still be there although the name may have changed.
I have started writing a family history and although I am not holding my breath about Sarah LYNCHEY'S antecedents I do have a multitude of data in Australia and the photos of the pub and the farm would be include if available as where this part of the storey started.
I am having the same problems with the Old Bailey convict who married Sarah's daughter (after 11 children) to become my GG grandparents.
