Hi,

I am trying to trace my Great Grandfather and have hit a wall slightly

Theodore Edward Holroyd was on the 1901 census (Conchan, Isle of Man), where he resided with:

James Holroyd (Head) 48
Charlotte Holroyd (Wife) 49
James (Son) 27
Geo W (Son) 16
Theodore Edward (Adopted Son) 3 months

I have since found a Baptism Record, which shows the following details:

Name: Theodore Edward Holroyd Wood
Parish: Maughold (South Ramsey)
Parents: Wood
Baptism Date: 10 August 1904

Entry No: 1412
Page: 177

All other records that I have for Theodore just shows name as:

Theodore Edward Holroyd

I believe he died: 18 May 1933

The Holroyd family appear to have originated from West Riding, Yorkshire.

The only "Wood" connection I can find from this area also but to also reside in IOM are the musically talented Wood family - Clement, Sabra, Mary, Harry, Sophia, Daniel, Eliza, Adeline & Haydn Wood
