It's certainly all intriguing, if not a little confusing!! I was purely trying to piece together Lavinia's life to see where she was living etc when I stumbled across this!!
If say he did marry Caroline and was still married to Alice. How would his children known about him and Caroline?
Or is this where the newspaper article comes in to play....
He originally had a will, which he had left everything to Alice (who was still alive potentially as I can see one on a 1911 census) and Caroline has the contested the will?
The newspaper article, is that what this is suggesting?
