Just in case anyone is interested in the double baptism----of John Henry Cain . It is the same child of John & Jane Redpath . The first entryno.136 has PB in margin but presumably means baptism of a frail baby at home,not Private Baprism in church. The second entry would usually read----Presented to Congregation [ when mother & child well enough to attend service in church] but is recorded as Baptism no.166.Father was a
gardener at Ballabroie , a big house along the road into Douglas.
