Don’t give up yet Liz, I am still trying to work out your John Cain,
I think I have worked out why you can’t find a Birth/Baptism for your, John Cain.
There are 2 Marriages for, John Cain & Edith Cowell / Cowle, one in 1888 and one in 1917
please tell me if you think I haven’t got this right,
If anyone has any information that can help Liz find her family it will be most welcome.

These Children match with the 1911 Census – except for, John Robert Cain who has died.

This is the Marriage in 1888 which I think is the best match to the information given by John Cain on the 1911 Census as being married for 22 years.

the Marriage in 1917 (I think) is too late to be your John Cain & Edith Cowle
and I think the Father of John Cain, is William Cain,
and this is why you can’t find the John Cain Birth/Baptism in Union Mills,
does anyone have any Union Mills information that will help Liz ?
I tried to copy the Marriage Certificate and the 1911 Census on here - but can't work out how to do it ???
