MI lookup: Emily Keig

Thank you for your reply, Philip. What a fascinating story about Emily Christian Joughin b 1852.

So Emily Joughin b 1831 Braddan isn't yet ruled out as a possible wife for Edward Keig.

Unfortunately, 1865 is too late for a marriage, as Edward and Emily started their family in 1859. Their first child, Isabella Kegg, was bap 26 June 1859 St Matthews Doug to Edwd Kegg and Emily no surname.

If this were my family, the marriage certificate I'd take a punt on is this one:

England & Wales, FreeBMD Marriage Index: 1837-1915
about Kegg
Name: Kegg
Year of Registration: 1857
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
District: Liverpool (1837-1934)
County: Lancashire
Volume: 8b
Page: 37

Unfortunately, when you "click to see others on same page", you get 2 men, 2 women and this "Kegg no christian name", so there's no way of knowing if this could be Edward, or whether the missing person could be Emily.

Perhaps these burials might be the right ones, and there might be MIs ? Please could you have a look, Donna ?

KEIG, Emily 80 Bra 12 Sep 1911

KEGG, Edward 44 Bra 20 Nov 1872

Thank you.
