I also worked at the Balqueen Hydro in 1965, 1966, 1977 summer seasons.
I remember Littler and his assistant Ward.
I started as a lift boy and then as a waiter.
The Hotel was always very busy with loads of organised activities such as cycle rides, walks, fancy dress, dances , bridge drives, cricket on the beach etc.
The Hotel did not serve any alcohol.
Us male staff lived in a house along the seafront, the girls in the hotel basement.
Most guests returned year after year and it was very family oriented.
