Pendlebury as you know is just outside Manchester (near Salford) - a John Pendlebury of Manchester was thanked by J G Cumming in 1860's for designing the covers of the Manx Soc volumes but not clear if related to same family

The name Jabez (from Jabez Bunting ?) normally indicates to me a staunch Wesleyan Methodist though this name is rather later than is common
