the 4th RV bit threw me until I read the 10th RV was renumbered 4th Western batt in 1811 - thus I think Daniel went out in 1807 (a verteran with garrison duties in mind letting younger soldiers to do the real fighting) - check out 10th rv in canadian history (given name to an active 1812 war re-enactment society)
