I looked at all Alfreds and Roberts born on the IOM 1870 and 1871.
There were only 8 named Alfred , and none seemed to have any connection and none born Ramsey.
A huge amounts named Robert , and found two illegitimate :
Robert Clarke Malew 30/10/1870 mother Elizabeth
Robert Callow Ramsey 5/3/1870 Mother Jane.
Could not find mother's with son on 1871 Brian's census index.
Although Robert Clarke appears to be there, but not Robert Callow , which sounds interesting. Could not trace possible death and could not source Burials on DustyDocs
