Hello Jean

You have done a lot of work there, not sure if you have found Alfred.

I have the original page of the 1891 census, I am sure that James Ecalletser (Should be James E (Edward) Callister, and looks like that on original) and Alfred Ecallester (Should be Alfred Callister , just shows ditto on surname)are brothers.
On their MC's both show father as William, James in 1892 as a Fisherman and Alfred's 1894 a labourer.
The initial search was for James Edward, I have possible parents as William Callister and Jane Callister married 1861 in Lonan (Maiden Name Kermeen , married as a widow , originally married to James Collister in 1848).
On the 1871 Census , at Ramsey :
William Collister 45 b Lonan
Jane 42 b Maughold
William 12 b Lonan
Thomas 8 b Lonan
Edward 6 b Lonan
Robert 0 b Ramsey

William is from marriage to James Collister , Thomas is actually John Thomas and Edward is James Edward. Cannot find Robert's birth/christening details. As James Edward b Lonan and Robert b Ramsey match James and Alfred, I am thinking is Robert actually Alfred.
Cannot find this family in 1881 , even checked Scotland.

The big push is to find the mother of either James Edward or Alfred , as I am sure they are brothers.

Thanks for your help

David
