Hi Col

Thanks for the information, that is very disappointing.
When the Colony of New South Wales started Civil Registration , it was based on the original Scottish format , which unfortunately they dropped a lot of it after a few years.

NSW as well as what the IOM DC gives you includes :

When and where buried.
Where born.
How long in the Australian Colonies (This was dropped around 1930)
Place of marriage, age at marriage and to whom.( If second marriage both recorded)
Name of father and occupation
Name and maiden surname of Mother.
Children of the Marriage , their age and any deaths recorded ,and separated if two marriages.
As pointed out same today with only one record now deleted.

So I guess the only way possible to establish parents is to check an M.I. and hope that is there ?

Thanks for your help
David
