Re: John CORKILL & Mary Ann BREW

Thank you Sue.
Re Foxdale, there's an article in the Feb Journal on page 33 about the village. It says the village spans across 4 parishes right at the juncture of Patrick, Malew, German & Marown so it was common for people to switch quite regularly. We have to bear that in mind particularly for our mining folks.

Yes, that is a typo at #10. I read that note 3x before sending, fixing little bits and pieces, and missed that one. It's those little typos everybody makes including parish clerks and transcribers that drive us all crazy.

I'm very impressed you were able to figure out those convoluted Corkill families with so many Corkill-Corkill marriages. I've duly noted them now, with some new ones for me now added. Thank you.

The Maughold burials for James Edward Corkill ("Ned") and his second wife aren't in Brian's index, but I recall he planned to finish this parish and others but wasn't able to. I had the 1913 Maughold burial of James Edward Corkill age 62 as him, but this must be the other JEC. One bapt 11 Mar 1860 Dhoon Christ Church Maughold s/o John Corkill & Ann Corkill and the other bapt 22 May 1859 Maughold s/o John Corkill & Elinor Kelly. Which one is Ned? I'm guessing the Dhoon one is, which is yet another Corkill-Corkill marriage.
