I can't find Thomas in 61 census.
His mother, Elizabeth Lace aged 23, is a house servant in Athol St.
His grandmother, Elizabeth Gelling at Kionslieu, has him in 1871 when he is 12, after his mother's early death. He is not with the Gelling sisters in 1861...although there is a boarder in the house, aged 2, a Willaim Cowle.
