The CD has been a great help to me regarding the understanding of the Lib Assed, Lib Vast etc for Kirk Michael.
I now think that the John Caine who purchased Ballastrooan Croft [Ballafadine?] from his friend John Caine sold it back to Gilbert Cowley and his son Philip Cowley. Gilbert Cowley was the uncle of the Glen of the Geese John Caine wife, Christian Cowley. So I am happier now that Isabel Caine from Glen of the Geese is from this line - just have to work out how but I feel I am another step closer.
Wouldn't have got this far without the CD so thanks again.
On Woods Atlas the Glen of the Geese is still occupied by Jane Caine widow of Thomas.
Thomas was son of Isabel.
