Have we knowledge of where in Malew, Ballakew was or is? I'm working with a Goggle Earth app that allows me to overlay anything I want, including lines to represent field boundaries, pinpoints with names or descriptions, whatever, all on top of anyplace on GE. I've been working this with my own Taggart's at Castletown/Red Gap/Pooylvaish and want to expand up towards St. Mark's logging old place names.

It is my personal feeling that, in the old days, little happened to anyone outside a 5 mile radius of their home. Their friends, family, potential mates, purveyors of most goods and services, probably 90% of such things came from within that circle. If you start plotting family names and dates, on locations, you begin to have a spatial understanding of time and place.
