Yes, I put that possibility for first wife Jane Moor under "(4th) William Taggart" on that long list.

I also saw those entries for William's marriage to Margaret Kelly on 2 Sept 1700, but Joyce seemed certain that the entry in the Malew parish register was in 1699, not 1700. I don't know whether she looked at the original reg. when she was in the IOM. Frances wrote that the marriage was actually in Marown, although mentioned in the Malew reg. (and Marown reg missing).

I'm now trying to find alternative William Taggarts to be the grandson of Margery Taggart als Bridson.
If you look at that list I posted it is interesting to see how many Taggarts married Bridson!
