pre c.1800 nearly all defuncts would have a will or decree unless they were paupers (generally these would be those without any living children) - as get into 19th C wills/decrees for small estates become more perfunctory and fewer poor defuncts would have one. I have a reasonably complete (>80%) of summaries for 18th C arbory wills - maybe less for Malew - what names do you have in 1841c that you are looking to take back?
