Re: Philip Cain
In Response To: Re: Philip Cain ()

Dear Ms. Coakley,

The Bible was in the hands of our relative LEILA WALKER, in 1959, she deceased and the whereabouts of the FAMILY BIBLE has not been known since, I spoke with my 91 years cousin today, especially to find out, if we could get it copied again to send and he stated The WALKER side had the Bible and the CAINS have not had the Bible since the death of Leila Walker to his knowledge, he did not know who got posession after her passing, he stated, to check with a nephew off the Walker side, which I am calling after 5:00 p.m. he is an attorney and lives with his mother who is 86, so I will check with him. The Bible had some information that was not correct and had to be researched I was told today by my 91 year old that there confusion was about,he wife of PATRICK CAINJ r. it had him married to a SUSANNAH CRAWFORD, in which he had not, this PATRICK JR, MARRIED MOLLY GRIFFIN, this is the PATRICK who was off the PATRICK that came from the Isle of Man, So the correct information is that Patrick and his wife ELEANOR CLARKE and Patrick's sister ELCE or ALICE, were from the Isle of MAN, Patrick JR, was killed in the BATTLE OF SLAUGHERFIELD in BLACKVILLE. SOUTH CAROLINA by the TORRIES, and his wife MOLLY GRIFFIN buried him under a tree that the storm had blown down. I will seek the Bible again, from the NEPHEW on the WALKER SIDE this afternoon, perhaps he can shed some light further, but I have found you are right on MARGARET, SHE WAS NOT A DAUGHTER OF ADAM CAIN, she was the daughter of JOHN CAIN, BROTHER OF ADAM CAIN AT BALLACAINE, WILLIAM CAINE OWNED BALLACAINE, and the land was passed down, data came from off the Isle FROM A Jon Cain, Parish records, and from MORMON FILES, AND DAR FILES AND COURT HOUSE DOCUMENTS, AND FAMILY BIBLE AND FAMILY VOICE HISTORY PASSED DOWN FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION AND RECORDS FROM THE ISLE. The family has so been researched for over 40 years and still our data is incorrect and money has been spent, I have decided when we arrive I will go to the MUSEUM and do the research, that way there can be no dispute of data, so I believe the only way to solve this mystery is to come and do the research, I may have to stay longer on the Isle, but it will be worth my time to get this MYSTERY OF THE CAIN FAMILY straightened out, for as I stated, I am weary of years of research and it makes one want to throw in the towel in and give up, for this family has been a mystery even when I was child, and even into my old adult life, and they elude you each time you think you have found their roots, I will get my nephew on the WALKER SIDE of family for NATHANANEL WALKER MARRIED SEALY CAIN AND this descendant is young and he has done much research also, we have walked and talked and went to all the holdings of CAIN/WALKER family have in the area and he and I am convinced that so much was kept to the grave, and I suppose will stay there, for their are CAINS on many web sites that have wrong data about our side and still they say they have it right, and we have it wrong, so it is where I will do my research when I arrive.

The mission of genealogy is to have fun with finding your roots and of the history of your bloodline and for some ,medical reasons, for some it has been exciting and exhilirating and for some it has been frustrating and exhausting, well I am the state of of the last line and I will rest this weary mind, until I am on the soil of the Isle and do my research straight from the records of the PARISH, for so much data seems to overlap and intertwine, and yet when you bring it all together, it does not fit. Please know I thank you for all you have done, and I have great admiration for your credentials and know you have done brillaint works and studies and the MANX NOTEBOOK, which is where words cannot express the extent of your works, for the information there and data is phantomless, so much and many other papers, debates and you have helped and continue to help so many find their roots, but these CAINS are a stubborn breed, and even with paper trails, so many papers and documents that I have folders and books and many more documents that I am going to have to take a breather and when I arrive I will be refreshed in my mind to start the real journey of the CAIN MYSTERIES THAT CONINUE TO ALLUDE THEIR PURSURERS.

Thank you again for all your research and I hope to meet you and see you at the MUSEUM, I promised to send them data they could put into the Museum, but with all this confusion, I WILL HAVE TO CORRECT, I CAN'T REALLY GIVE THEM TRUTHFULLY ANY DATA. I WILL SEND THE BLACKVILLE. SOUTH CAROLINA SMALL BOOK AND COPY TO YOU ABOUT THE WALKERS- CAIN , PATRICK WHO WAS KILLED BY THE TORRIES, I am sorry to write in caps, tired, and I must close to rest.

Kindly yours,

Mrs. Rosa
