Good on ya! It made me chuckle too. First thing I learned when I started genealogy was that you need a sense of humour. And buy an anorak. I have both.

Right. On a serious note. How many times do we hear yisser these days? Or yessir, yusser, or yousaa? A lovely form of address, which I recall being mainly from males to males. And it is nearly gone. How much changes. How our little ways are dying. So including, apparently, our ability to laugh at ourselves. So, I repeat, goodonya, yisser.

(PS for those who went to the Dogs Home around the 1970s. Do you remember when that song YES SIR, I can boogie ...was played on the jukebox, and everyone stood up and sang YESSIR!!...?)
