Relationship between post-1702 and pre-1702 numbering within Manorial Rolls

Note MR is used as a convenience to indicate the post 1702 rent rolls, LA for pre 1702; all records are strictictly Manorial Rolls found in the Libri Assed.

Basis is the 1702 Roll and the 1706 + 1709 rolls - some are conjectured but seems obvious that the construction of the post 1704 rolls was done by grouping the tenancies held by individuals. In a few cases rents on two properties appear to have been merged - it is possible that these were for earlier enlargements (though most of these appear to remain included in the Intacks).

See elsewhere for reverse mapping of pre-1702 onto post-1702 sequence numbers.

The probable location is derived from several clues - mapping between 1869 book and 1894 Rateable values; deeds & property sales (post 1702).
