Douglas:
I commute on an approx 2 weeks on 2 weeks off basis between Peel + UK - property at both ends but at present in TT avoidance mode (not returning for another 10 days until the roads become somewhat safer)
Eod Die = latin for same day - many, many years ago I noted all the extracted records from the online IGI and used these as basis for my own database - I augmented these with bishops transcripts etc and also filled in the gaps left by 'patron submitted' IGI entries (many of these are incorrect but their algorithm saw the good one replaced by the bad entry in the on line IGI) - Col found the image of the original parish reg which have only appeared on line in last year or so thus you now can see the origin record (the IGI transcribers were usually confused by latin and omitted such records)

James Christian appears to have bought the property tho I can't find any deed - in 1702 Lib assed held by the Lwins but by 1706 held by James Christian - because he bought the property he could devise it by will etc (+ his wife would also own half) - he settled one half on one son, possibly his wife left the other half to another son - thus seems that two brothers? owned half of the property and passed each half onto their sons etc but they tended to choose same first names hence the confusion!
