Re: Help: Christian family genealogy

Thank you, Frances. I arrived at William Christian by back-tracing through known relatives, i.e., Grandfather George Henry b.1895, Great-grandfather (also) George Henry b.1865, 2xGGF James b.1838, and 3xGGF William b.1798. While 1861 census shows Wm's birthplace as Onchan, 1851 and 1841 censuses show birthplace Castletown. I do not have a birth or baptismal certificate for William, so no direct reference to his parents, although Danil and Isobel Christian of Castletown were cited as baptizing a child named William per Index listing "Ancestry.com. Isle of Man, Select Births and Baptisms, 1821-1911 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc, 2014. Original data: Isle of Man, Births and Baptisms, 1821-1911. Salt Lake City, Utah: FamilySearch, 2013". As a painter, I doubted William had land holdings. Any other info you can find would be appreciated!
