Begode is a qtrland farm in the treen of Begoade - the spelling of this name varies a fair amount - the Christians had been in the adjacent qtrland of Kilvertin from before 1643 but arrived in Begode More [ie big Begode] of 32s rent (16s pre 1704) some time after 1643 as Cannells + Fargher were there before but I can't find the actual transfer - possibly around 1700 as a couple of years of Lib Vas are lost due to damp in this period - however there is another Begoade in same treen of 24s rent (12s pre 1704) but this was farmed by Corkills

Begode moar is NE of Onchan church on the border with Lonan
